Miller Transfer Celebrates 50th Anniversary
Established in 1968 in Clarion, Pennsylvania, Miller Transfer and Rigging Company initially consisted of just two trucks that transported steel products and industrial machinery within Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan.
Today, under the leadership of Mitch Unger, Miller Transfer has evolved into one of the most respected carriers in the Specialty Transportation Industry. “It is particularly gratifying to be celebrating this anniversary as demand for transportation services continues to grow,” says Unger. “With nearly 70% of the freight being shipped throughout the United States being done so by truck, the future of the transportation industry remains strong. And Miller Transfer is at the forefront – developing new and dynamic customer-specific solutions to specialized freight challenges.”
The Edinburgh company’s year-long celebration includes the development of a commemorative logo, as well as a newly developed website that better reflects the company’s current capabilities and vision for the future.
Miller Transfer is grateful to all its customers who have trusted it to safely and reliably transport their most delicate, sensitive and high-value shipments. Their demands, challenges and feedback have pushed the company toward continuous improvement and innovation.
“Of course, this celebration wouldn’t be possible without the enthusiasm, support and dedication of Miller Transfer employees,” shared Unger. “Every one of you – from business development, operations and administration to company drivers and independent contractors – plays a key role in the success of our company. I thank you for your contributions and commitment, and look forward to another 50 fantastic years ahead!”
